I always drink at lunchtime. It helps my imagination.

I hope you've all had a nice weekend. As usual, mine has gone by much too quickly. Although there were some obvious benefits of working in London on Friday (see last post) it did mean I got home a bit later than usual. Nic met me at the station, and we went to Millennium Sweet House to get curry for dinner. Nic was going out with Tom and Viv, so after I gave him a little fashion show of all of my new dresses, we had dinner and Nic went out. I had a really pleasant evening, knitting and then reading my new Barbara Pym novel, Some Tame Gazelle, in the bath with a glass of wine. It was just what I wanted after such a long week at work.

Unfortunately, I was so tired that I couldn't sleep properly so I was a very sleepy wee person when I got out of bed on Saturday morning. Sugar Plum and N were picking us up at 10 to go to Oxford for the Affordable Vintage Fashion Fair. I felt much better once I'd had some coffee and a boiled egg (from my Hornsea egg cup!) and I was excited about putting on one of my new dresses:
Fever New England dress and solea shoes. I'm just about to smile in this photo!

The vintage fair was a little bit disappointing. There was undoubtedly some great stuff there, but it was so crowded that it was impossible to see anything so neither Sugar Plum nor I bought anything. I was also uncomfortably aware of the vintage attitude towards health and safety - the fire doors were being propped open by the fire extinguishers, and the place was so rammed that if anything had happened it would have been a disaster. Still, we finished up nice and early and in good time to go to the covered market and get a tasty Pie Minister pie for lunch. NOM, seriously. Neither Sugar Plum nor N had sampled Pie Minister's delights before so I was very happy to treat them to lunch by way of thanks for the trip to Oxford. Sugar Plum and I headed to Aspire because there were a few dresses I wanted to try on, mainly to get her opinion, but neither of them were quite right. After a quick drink in Chequers, we headed off our separate ways. Nic and I went to Blackwell's to have a look in their second-hand department, and just pottered around the back streets of Oxford. The weather was utterly dismal, so we retired to the Turf Tavern to have a drink and warm up a little bit. It was very lovely - we got a seat in the window and Nic sampled a local ale:

The Turf Tavern appears in an episode of Inspector Morse, apparently, and this is commemorated on a board outside:

Shortly afterwards we met Sugar Plum and N again. Sugar Plum and I pottered around a few more shops while Nic and N went to Chequers. I bought Nic some cufflinks in Octopus, which are really cool - one has Humphrey Bogart on it and the other Lauren Bacall. Sugar Plum found a beautiful carpet bag in an eccentric vintage shop on Ship Street called Unicorn, and then we headed back to the pub to meet the boys. It was a very enjoyable day, even though I find Oxford on a Saturday to be quite crowded and stressful.

I was exhausted by the time we got home, and although Sugar Plum and M were coming to my house for tea and a girly night, I was in really bad form and Nic came home from watching a movie with N and Tom to find me in tears in bed. It was very silly and came mainly from being so tired, but I have been feeling very sensitive recently. I'm very lucky that Nic is so kind and so understanding, and after a long talk with him I was able to go to sleep feeling much better.

Our plan for today was to take a walk over to Warwick for a pub lunch, which is just what we did. I opted for sensible shoes and, both of us wrapped up warm, we headed out:
Fever long beach dress, belt from Accessorize, red cowboy boots from Office

Our lunch was amazing - we went to the Wetherspoon's in the Market Square in Warwick and we both had the Portobello mushroom and chickpea roast. It was delicious, and it was very pleasant to sit in the pub and read the paper and chat. The walk back perked me up as well, it was cold and bracing and just what was in order. I spotted some snowdrops growing in the gardens along the way and felt excited for the coming of Spring, and for all of the wonderful things that Nic and I have got planned for the next few months. Life is good.

A very naughty lunch time

I am writing this post very quickly, and will write a proper one later tonight but I had to blog about what I bought this lunchtime. I'm in London today, and hadn't planned to be, and had to cancel having lunch with Louise as a result. But it's payday so I thought I'd treat myself to a lunchtime visit to the Fever shop this lunchtime and I bought three lovely dresses. They were all from the sample rack as well, so each under £30!

Copacabana sun dress

Corbusier Atlantis dress. I am especially excited about this one as I went to the shop planning to buy it, even at full price. The only one they had in the store was a sample, and it fit. WIN!

New England dress

The photos don't do the dresses justice, but you'll be seeing some outfit shots soon!

Oh, the wife wants to see 'Cats'. Don't know why, she's allergic to them.

I had a really unmotivated Monday yesterday, and although I got through most of the things on my to-do list, I really struggled to get my work head on. I was so unmotivated that, although I wrote most of this blog post in my notebook I am only getting round to putting it up now. Still, that's not so bad. I'm working at home today, so had time to do a little outfit shot:

Obviously I put on a cardigan after Nic took the photo - the snow has returned to Leamington, and I don't think blue arms would go all that well with red tights. Still, I am determined to wear the lovely sailor dress, it seems a shame that it has been hanging in my wardrobe since I bought it in January.

I don't think anybody could blame me for not being in a great work frame of mind yesterday, and for not wanting the weekend to be over. I had a very wonderful weekend, and it was just what I needed after a long and rather blue week last week. Nic and I were old on Friday night, and we stayed in. We cooked a curry for dinner and watched Inspector Morse, which I'm seriously into at the moment. I've got a bit of a crush on John Thaw, but the real draw of the series for me is Lewis. Not in a sexy way, but I love Kevin Whately's performance. He is quietly charismatic and has an excellent line in reaction shots. Nic and I have been picking the box sets here and there, and I am really enjoying watching them so expect to hear a bit more Morse talk round here in the near future.

On Saturday I met Caroline, Lauren, Kate and Sugar Plum to do some shoe shopping. Caroline has a birthday party to go to this weekend and was in need of some fierce shoes, which is what she found. She'll blog about them soon herself, if you're curious, but they really were fabulous! As for me, I managed to resist the siren call of the beautiful navy suede peep toe Untold shoes that I tried on. I was helped in my resolve by the Irregular Choice shoes I bought last week, and also by the fact that a man stopped me on Regent Street to compliment me on my shoes! I was wearing my flick flack shoes, which I can wear without rage ever since the good man in Timpsons fixed them for me. I didn't come home empty-handed, however, as I found two beautiful Hornsea heirloom bowls in the RSPCA shop. They are in perfect condition and were only £2 each, so I was really pleased! We all had a profitable shopping trip as Kate found some more vintage ladybird books, Lauren bought a fabulous hat and dress, and Sugar Plum bought a few tops and a dress from Dorothy Perkins. We retired to the White Horse, initially for a few drinks, but we were soon joined by Nic, Tom, N and Ben and ended up staying there well into the evening. It was really relaxed and fun, and we ended up covering a surprising amount of topics. After a week of feeling worried and discouraged about things, it was really good to spend time with friends. Lauren wrote that she feels happy to have a group of friends to hang out with in Leamington, and I agree. I'm really lucky to have so many really good and dear friends living within walking distance. Meeting Caroline, Lauren and Kate recently has been brilliant as well, more excellent girls to have fun with.

I spent a lot of last week feeling anxious and stressed and sad. I was preoccupied by negative thoughts and by feeling bad. I allowed myself to get caught up in worrying about what other people think about me and say about me, and how this matches up with the things I dislike about myself. It's a very destructive cycle to get into, and while buying new shoes definitely helps, it can't fix everything. Of course everyone has things about themselves that they dislike, and I know that I am far from perfect but I also know that I have good qualities as well. I spent too much time on the wrong side of that last week, so spending time with friends on Saturday was just what I needed. Nic and I tripped home from the White Horse on Saturday night full to the brim with wine and laughter and love.

Today is me and Nic's three-year anniversary. In fact, at the time of writing three years ago I think he and I were gazing soppily at one another across the table in Brown's in Coventry. Since we fell in love I have found it much easier to feel good about myself, and to enjoy social occasions like Saturday evening. On a practical level, it was through Nic that I met my dearest M, and through him that I was able to reconnect with Tom and with Sugar Plum, both of whom were old friends from university. Moving into a flat in Leamington with Nic a year and a half ago meant that I was physically close to my friends as well. More importantly than that, however, is the fact that falling in love with Nic has opened me up to explore the things that I am interested in, and helped me to find new interests, which has made me a happier person and a better friend. Nic is my best friend, and I am lucky to have such a good man and such good friends in my life.

Luckily on Sunday I was not at all hung-over, but I was being pretty lazy and undomesticated, so I still have a few chores to get through this week. One thing I did achieve, however, was to sort through some of our many books to make up a bag for the charity shop (and to make room on the shelves for those books I bought a few weeks back at the tip shop) Decluttering is a slow process, but I am making some headway and will hopefully be ready to do a good spring clean soon. It was cathartic to get rid of things last week, and while I am never going to be one for minimalism, it is good to chuck out the things that you have no reason to keep.

It is going to be another busy week at work and at home. I'm going to have to be in London a fair bit this week and next week, and that involves lots of meetings. I do have some lovely social things to look forward to, though. I'm hopefully going to be meeting Louise for lunch on Friday. On Saturday Nic and I are off to Oxford with Sugar Plum and N, to go to a vintage fashion fair. I'm hoping that Sugar Plum and I might get to spend a bit of time trying on dresses in Aspire and that Nic and I will be able to go to The Turf Tavern to do the crossword. It's been a while since I've been to Oxford as well, so I will definitely be treating myself to a Pie Minister pie. YUM!

Okay, well this has taken me a lifetime to write and the cup of tea next to me isn't going to drink itself. And the caramel digestive biscuits aren't going to eat themselves, either.

Not much meat on her, but what's there is choice.

It's finally Friday! A MASSIVE hurrah for that, what a week! I'm so glad to be able to have a sleep in tomorrow, I tell you what!

Well, the end of my week was as busy as the beginning. I rocked up to our London office on Thursday, fully expecting an ordinary day, only to discover that I was scheduled to be in a day-long meeting. This came as quite a surprise, as I didn't have it in my diary, but I had to go so I did. It was excellent, if tiring. We met with a specialist in the teaching of blind and visually impaired children, who was going through test papers to help us to modify them to make them accessible. It was exhausting, but this kind of thing is one of the reasons why I really do like my new job - it is so interesting.

After work I rushed down to Broadwick Street to meet Nic and Tom in the John Snow, as we had planned to go and see Pat and Mike at BFI Southbank. They are having a Spencer Tracy and Katharine Hepburn season, and Pat and Mike is my favourite Tracy-Hepburn movie. To my shame, I dozed off for ten minutes during the film but it was the effect of a very long day at work combined with a warm dark room!
Physical Ed? Who's he?
Pat and Mike is wonderful because Spencer Tracy is just so funny in it. Over the past few years he has become my favourite actor for that reason - his timing is so good and the humour he brings is very warm and wry. If you haven't seen it, you certainly should. As part of Nic's birthday present (and also as a present to the house) I am going to buy us this poster:

It was snowing pretty heavily when we got back to Leamington last night, so I worked from home today. I didn't want to fall over for a second time this week! I was feeling very stressed in the morning, partly because of work but mainly because I was stressing myself out. Friday mornings are pretty hectic though, as I have to phone into three meetings and take the notes. This caused me problems last week (which is why I was stressing this morning) but one of my colleagues very kindly helped me out, so although I was on the phone for three hours this morning, it wasn't nearly as stressful as last week. Nic took me out for lunch, and then I was flat out this afternoon as well. I am feeling pretty chirpy, however, because it is the weekend! Also, because my new shoes arrived this morning and they are beautiful. I'm so glad I bought them!

I'm also always very happy to wear my Fever asturias dress, it is so comfortable. I'm not sure why my hair is so fluffy in this picture!

Nic and I are going to have a nice lazy weekend - next week is going to be pretty intense as well, so it'll be good to recharge my batteries ahead of it. I have been pretty bummed out all week, but I'm determined to leave my worries behind and be a lot more positive. Also, sucky February is nearly over - YES!

Now, I'm away to cook dinner and watch Inspector Morse. I'm cool like that, you know?

Wednesday, February 17, 2010

Well if you'll excuse me, I've got a long bath and a short dress to get into.

You guys, it has been a LONG week already and it's only Wednesday. I hope the February blues aren't attacking you lot the way they seem to have with me!

The end of last week was ever so busy. I worked from home on Friday but had to dial into about a gazillion phone meetings in the morning, so by lunchtime I was properly frazzled. I'm not complaining about the amount of work I have on at the moment because I prefer to be busy than not, but by Friday night all I was fit for was an episode of Inspector Morse and dinner and an early night. Lovely Tom did call round though, bearing the gift of The Fugitive on DVD, which I was very happy about because I love that movie!

On Saturday there was a surprise baby shower for Sugar Plum's sister in law, A. I baked a chocolate banana cake for the occasion and it turned out to be a really fun day. A was very surprised, especially as one of her friends had flown over from Dublin for the event. Sugar Plum's aunt and cousin were there also and it was good to meet them, and one of the best things about the day was hanging out with her family in the evening. There was a lot of banter, which is just what it's like when my family get together. Sugar Plum and I had planned to get pizza from Tuscano's and watch He's Just Not That In To You on Saturday evening, but were too full of cake to really do either of those things. Still, we were able to just mooch around my house and chat while Nic, Tom and N watched a film at her house. Sunday was also lovely - Nic and I exchanged cards (we don't really do Valentine's day presents, although he did buy me the Sex and the City movie book!) and spent the day together, which was just what I needed after such a hectic week.

Monday was when it all started to go a bit wrong. I fell over on my way to work - I went over my ankle on our street, stumbled for a bit before crashing down. I was carrying my work laptop, which didn't get damaged but which did overbalance me, I think. Anyway, I got my hands out in time to save my face, which was good, and the only real visible damage was that the heels of my hands got a bit scuffed up and I laddered my tights. Luckily I finished falling just short of the kerb, otherwise I would have been run over by the post man in his van! He was very nice, though, he stopped to make sure I was okay. I was, but I think the worst thing about falling over as an adult is not being able to cry! I felt very stressed all day at work, and my shoulder and wrist were really hurting from the fall. After work I met up with Sugar Plum and M for a drink in the White Horse, which was good but the three of us were really bummed out! Nic cooked me dinner and ran me a bath when I got home, and I rewarded him by bursting into tears when he made a joke about rhubarb crumble. I'm generous in that way, what can I say?! Work was very busy again yesterday, but not quite as stressful, and then Nic and I spent the evening with Sugar Plum and N, eating pancakes. N makes awesome pancakes, I have to say!

Anyway, I am feeling much less blue today - luckily for me I have Nic and also some very good friends to pick me up when I'm sad. On Monday evening I went through my keepsake boxes and threw out old letters and photos and cards. I'm a bit of a hoarder, and even when friendships and relationships end or change, I hold on to things, and I needed to have a clear out. It felt good to do it, and it also gave me the opportunity to remind myself of all of the love in my life.

I was working from home today so had the chance to recharge my batteries a little bit and get some admin-y stuff done. It was also really good to be able to spend the day with Nic - there is something so harmonious about the two of us just working away in the same room. Also, I was able to go to QS at lunchtime and replace the tights that I ripped on Monday! (That was pretty neat, actually. I bought two pairs of tights, was expecting them to come to £5 but they were on sale so I got both pairs for £1.50. I love QS!)

Today I wore the beautiful dress that Mrs Z made. Here it is:

The white top is from Marks and Spencer and the shoes are Irregular Choice

And, on another note, I have found the Irregular Choice Matronix shoes on the internet for £41, with free postage. They may be a nice little pre-payday treat!

I'm hoping that the rest of the week will be more fun. I'm working in London again tomorrow but Nic and I are going to see Pat and Mike in the NFT with Tom after work, and we're going to an amazing noodle bar for our dinner before that, and then I'm hoping to have a nice lazy weekend.

Now, I'm away to buy some shoes. Hurrah!

Fashions fade, style is eternal.

I've been feeling all inspired today, for a variety of reasons. Both Caroline and Lauren have written really interesting blogs about the relationship between high fashion as art, and how people actually wear clothes, and it got me thinking about following suit.

A few years ago, I was a real glossy magazine addict. I bought Heat every week and got really territorial if anyone dared to open my copy before I got to it! I bought fashion magazines frequently as well (although I usually steered clear of Vogue, because everything in it was too frighteningly expensive!) I stopped buying Heat for a variety of reasons, but I still bought other fashion magazines because lots of them featured high street items, which were things I could consider buying.

I have all but stopped buying fashion magazines and if I do, it is usually with the intention of reading the features or because I want the free gift. I have come to find the fashion content of these magazines entirely objectionable.

This is not to say that I find fashion objectionable. I don't. I love buying pretty and unusual clothes, and I love the process of adorning myself and expressing myself through what I wear. It's just that there is nothing for me in these magazines.

For one thing, I am repelled by the way 'aspirational' fashion is presented to us. I understand that the magazines are businesses and depend on high fashion advertising to make their businesses viable. However, I don't need a £895 coat. This is by no means a 'must-have' item. I resent this wording, and the value judgment that is attached to it.

Another thing that bothers me are the fashion spreads themselves. I do understand the concept of fashion as art, but often the spreads are ridiculous. They're dreadfully repetitive as well. How many of them feature some leggy girl with a long pony-tail jumping? JUMPING. Go and check, there are loads! Like you would do a lot of jumping in peep-toe high-heel hiking boots (or a lot of hiking, for that matter.) I'm not overly literally minded, but I fail to see how photos like that are about the clothes. They seem to me to be much more about the shapes that the bodies in the clothes can make.

It just isn’t for me. I'm fine with that, as well. In fact, I'm pretty happy that looking at these impossibly tall slim young things in magazines (jumping) doesn't make me think "That's it! That's what I want!" because it would make me miserable, as I'm 5 feet 2, mousy, a civil servant and what these magazines would euphemistically term 'curvy' (i.e. a size 10)

With all of that said, I am interested in clothes. Like Caroline and Lauren, I enjoy reading blogs about fashion and style. I stumbled on Caroline's blog by reading one of my favourite fashion blogs, Forever Amber's blog The Fashion Police. I get inspiration from these ladies who, like me, have a budget and a job to weigh against their shoe and dress addictions. Caroline and Lauren's recent blogs, and conversations I have had with other friends, have made me consider what my relationship is with fashion, the clothes I wear, and my personal style.

If you have been reading my blog or you know me personally, you will know that I have an especial weakness for dresses by Fever Designs. I have a wardrobe full of their dresses and I also own four Fever coats (which is less excessive than it sounds, I promise!) It's not a question of brand loyalty or exclusivity, either. Their dresses are well-made, reasonably priced and really good fun to wear. Those criteria aren't limited to the Fever creations hanging in my wardrobe. All of my best-loved and most-worn dresses are the ones I enjoy wearing because they are an unusual shape, or a vibrant print, or are just plain elegant. This is what I enjoy about my clothes – everything that I own says something about my tastes and feelings, and I like that.

Something else I really enjoy is seeing how different people make clothes come alive. M and I frequently pillage each other's wardrobes and we have a number of dresses in common. We can wear the same dress size, more or less, but have very different shapes. I love seeing how M wears something I own, or a dress we both have. I love how the same dress can reflect different things in both of us. I also get a thrill out of dressing M up like a dolly, I have to admit! One or two of my friends dislike it if someone close to them buys something that they have. I have fallen foul of this rule more than once because it isn’t an attitude I'm willing to agree with, for a number of reasons. One of them is sheer bloody-mindedness, I won't be told how to spend my money. The main reason is that if I find something I like, I'm usually so excited about it that I want to share it with my friends, so I also like to take inspiration from them. I love my Ruby Belle Monkey pinafore so, when I found it in Caroline's size in the Fever shop for £10, I was delighted. I'm happy that she will get the enjoyment of wearing it, and I'm interested to see how she will wear it and how she will look in it. I just hope she doesn't have the dispiriting experience of having to scrub someone else's red wine stain out of it!

Ultimately, I think it's a real shame that the high-fashion glossies aren’t spending more time looking at what real people are actually wearing. It would be much more positive, and I think it would encourage us to look past body shape to personality and feeling. Maybe I am too idealistic about it, but I don't miss reading fashion magazines.

The Fever shop on Eastcastle Street - one of my favourite places to spend my money!

You are grat at danson

It feels like it has been forever since I wrote a blog, but it isn't that I've been lazy, I promise. It's just that me and my little laptop have been apart (sniff) but we are now reunited!

I was working in London on Thursday, which was good. I was in meetings ALL day, which was less good because it was tiring but I can't really complain as the meetings were all interesting and helped me to get a handle on my new job. I made my way over to Trafalgar Square when I was finished and met Nic, who had been second-hand-book and comic shopping on the Charing Cross Road, and we caught the train down to Kent. Nic's parents live in a little village outside Folkestone and I took a long weekend so we could go and spend some time with them, as Nic's dad has been ill recently. It was very good to see them both, and to see that Nic's dad was doing better than we had hoped. We didn't do much, just had a good time hanging out with Nic's mum and dad. We watched a few excellent films, Frenchman's Creek, Brighton Rock and The Stranger, none of which I had seen before. Apart from The Third Man and Citizen Kane, both of which I watched at university, I hadn't seen any Orson Welles films and I thought he was brilliant in The Stranger. Also, although his character was totally evil, his moustache made him very foxy! I enjoyed watching these films with Nic's parents, because it's nice to spend time with them but also because we were able to talk about them and discuss them in interesting ways. Nic's dad made the point that the films had something in common, which was that all of them featured a woman who made an unsuitable marriage. This comparison could best be drawn between The Stranger and Brighton Rock because in both of those films the women delude themselves completely about the men they have married. In Brighton Rock, Rose knows that Pinkie is a gangster and that he is involved in some way with the death of Fred Hale, but the film ends with her protestations that Pinkie loved her and that he was a good man. The audience knows differently, as they know that Pinkie recorded his voice saying that he hates her and that she's a slut. Loretta Young's character in The Stranger finally does come to the realisation that Orson Welles' character is evil and that he has tried to kill her, but even when she knows he has committed murder she is willing to stand by him because she has convinced herself that he loves her and needs her. The human capacity for self-delusion is something that fascinates me, and I have been inspired by watching those films to apply myself more rigorously to my creative writing project this year.

I didn't manage to find a Hornsea teapot in Hythe, but I did have a profitable weekend otherwise. I found a cute little Hornsea egg cup for 50p in a junk shop - I couldn't get it to photograph very well, I'm afraid. It isn't the Heirloom pattern, I think it is from later but it has a very distinctive shape. I also bought a beautiful pale pink Beswick bowl from Old English Pine in Sandgate, which I will photograph at a later date. It's perfect for keeping my rings in on my bedside table. I also finally bought some bamboo knitting needles, something I have been meaning to do for ages now. I came home fairly laden down, because Nic's grandpa gave me a book about Richard III and Nic's mum very kindly gave me a vintage Liberty scarf from her collection:

It is so beautiful - it is pure wool and it is so soft. Nic's mum has a beautiful collection, most of which she has picked up in charity shops over the years and they are housed in the most amazing Liberty bag. It's a frame bag, made out of peacock-feather print material, and she bought it in a charity shop in Canterbury for about £4! I will be scouring eBay for something similar!

The weather was gorgeous for much of the weekend and Nic and I were able to walk on the seafront a few times. On Sunday we went into Folkestone and had afternoon tea in the Grand Hotel on the Leas Cliff. It was wonderful, as we were able to take our tea while looking out to sea. We walked right along to the end of the Leas and then down the hill to Sandgate, following the beach up as far as where Nic's parents live. I love living in Leamington but would love one day to be able to live by the sea. I know it is a cliche but there is something about the sound and smell of the sea that makes my cares seem miles away.

We travelled back up to the midlands yesterday, stopping off in London on the way. We had some amazing noodles with tofu and shiitake mushrooms in Soho, and Nic bought some comics. I skipped across Oxford street to the Fever shop because my January paycheque was burning a hole in my pocket, but I was quite restrained. I bought a dress and a coat, both from the sample rack and both very good bargains. I am especially pleased with the dress because it is so unusual and it is one that I think didn't get mass produced, although it was in the Ruby Belle catalogue.

(that isn't a great photo, artificial light has given me funny eyes!)
I've also included a close up of the fabric (but rotate it, the geisha aren't sideways!) because it is so special. The dress was only £20 so I'm extremely pleased with my find, and it was the only one in the shop! I'm going to go back in a few weeks as I hope by then they will have some more of their Spring/Summer stock in store so I can start planning my next purchases!

I had a good work day today, in the Coventry office. I got a very special message in the morning, telling me that my dear friend Mrs Z had her baby early this morning! She had a little girl, and by all accounts both are well. In the afternoon I did a few errands in Leamington and met up with Sugar Plum and M for a drink in the White Horse, and right now Nic is finishing making dinner. I like February very well so far - I hope it continues in this vein!

I'll finish off with a couple more photos I took this weekend
Nic on the beach at Sandgate - doesn't he look handsome?!

Advertising FAIL in Folkestone Asda. I added the text with my phone because I am COOL

I found this post-it note stuck to the door of The Works in Folkestone. It says You are grat at danson
