Dressember Day 6
You guys, I am so tired of saying how TIRED I am. But I really am, just now. I'm looking forward to the weekend, or at least to feeling more rested so I don't look so washed out in all my photos. Despite my early night last night, I just couldn't get to sleep. It's partly because I was still quite stressed about everything with work. It was also partly due to having watched Young Apprentice before bed. I enjoy that show, but man - it stresses me out! I am full of admiration for the things the kids can do - particularly when it comes to strategy and pitching and stuff, but I find the way they talk about money and business to be so depressing.
Anyway, I drifted in and out of sleep all night and it felt like all of the electrical appliances in our flat were conspiring against me - the heater in the bedroom rattled loudly, and when I moved to the sofa to sleep, the fridge started rattling too. Oh well. I got through the day - but I admit, it was a struggle.
My lovely colleague Leanne kindly agreed to take my outfit photo today. Thanks, Leanne! This was taken in the rather fetching stairwell of the office. High glamour or what:
Again, this being a summer dress, I layered it up with a slip underneath and I spent most of the day also wearing a cashmere scarf. This came from ebay and I have worn it lots, it feels so floaty and feminine. I also bought the other versions of it that were available and now have quite the little collection of them - no doubt you'll see some of them throughout the rest of Dressember. This one always attracts comments because the print is so unusual, which is nice (with the exception of that one weird and unkind comment that someone made that time. I still think that was strange.) I think it looks better without tights, but what can you do. It's cold!
I'm going to go and have my dinner and doze on the sofa. Tiredness aside, I am feeling brighter and cheerier today. Tomorrow is Whirling Wednesday, or something, so I'll wear something twirly and I'll see you then.
